The Dispatcher Packet comprises three documents that are essential for your Dispatch company:
1. The Dispatcher Agreement;
2. The Limited Power of Attorney;
3. The Carrier Profile. Each document plays a distinct role within your Dispatch operations.
The Dispatcher Agreement represents the formal contract between YOU (the dispatcher) and the Carrier/Owner Operator/Truck Driver. This agreement enables you to secure loads on their behalf, typically for a specified percentage (ranging from 5% to 10%) of the total gross amount of the loads.

Through the Limited Power of Attorney, carriers provide you with formal legal permission to represent them during onboarding processes, including broker setup and load booking, as confirmed by a notarized document.
2. Limited Power of Attorney
The Carrier Profile sheet is completed by the Carrier/Owner Operator/Truck Driver to communicate their preferences and operational details. This sheet contains information such as weight capacity, cents per mile (CPM), short-haul, long-haul, and other relevant details that the carrier sends to you.

The Carrier's MC AUTHORITY letter is issued by the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier's Safety Administration) in coordination with the DOT (Department of Transportation). This letter verifies that the carrier possesses a distinct DOT# and MC#. The predominant type of authority granted to owner-operators, carriers, or truck drivers is common carrier authority. Additional types of authority include Contract, Passenger, and Household Goods (HHG) authority.

METHODS USED TO GET CARRIERS
1. TRUCK STOPS: To promote your dispatching services, consider creating flyers, business cards, or small goodie bags to distribute at local truck stops. Ensure you obtain permission from the management before posting on bulletin boards.

- The D.A.T. Directory feature on the D.A.T. Load Board
- Utilizing Google search
- Exploring the Search Directory feature on the 123 Load Board
- Checking out the Carrier section on the Trucking Planet Load Board (Note: Some data may be outdated)
- Browsing through The REGISTER fitness area on the S.A.F.E.R. website.
3. WORD OF MOUTH: Utilize your network of carriers, family, friends, or acquaintances to spread the word about your dispatching services.
